Working mechanism
Pain is a sensation that our brain received through the
nerves. To offer us relief from pain, painkillers block or change the ways of
pain sensation through which they can reach the brain. As a painkiller,
Tramadol changes the ways of pain sensation so that they cannot reach the
brain. The effect of Tramadol depends on how much time it takes to absorb in
the blood. Sometimes, it shows effect up to 24 hours.
Tramadol makes the effect on both body and brain. For that,
it basically works on the neurotransmitters of the spinal cord. Tramadol HCL is
the active ingredient of this painkiller. To treat our pain, it stops the
reabsorption of serotonin and norepinephrine. To stop the effects of pain
sensation on the spinal cord, this painkiller activates the opiate receptors in
the central nervous system. Thus, it changes the ways of perceiving pain.
Through this working mechanism, Tramadol helps us to get a pain free life.
